[Review] Tango Fire
Sizzling, smouldering, dashing: these Argentinian dancers make the sparks fly! Tango doesn’t entirely describe the balletic grace with which they flew through their moves. The long-legged sinuous grace of the female dancers contrasted with the macho gangster chic of the men: with their black hair fairly dripping with brilliantine, they looked like they had just stepped out of a speakeasy.
The quartet which provided the music were also very engaging, featuring the most passionate accordion playing this reviewer has ever heard (something I used to think was an oxymoron). This is a hugely enjoyable show which left the audience shouting for more.
