Political Correctness Gone Mad
Thanks to Scotlan’s ban on smoking indoors in a public place, a number of Fringe shows and performers are being “reminded” by Edinburgh City Council that they’ll have to not smoke on stage, even if artistically it’s pretty key to the performance.
Which means one of my favourite shows last year “Bill Hicks: Slight Return” (and I interviewed the star and produced Chas Early for last year’s Fringe cast) will not be allowed to light up. Words fail me…
