If the Edinburgh Fringe Podcast was a movie, then I’d not onlybe deep in pre-production just now, but right in the middle of negotiating with the Hollywood Agents to try and convince Dan Ackroyd to play opposite Brian Blessed (now there’s a Fringe Show I’d love to see).

Yes I’m talking about all the horse trading with agents and PR and acts to get them into the studio for an interview. And while you might think that with the number of performers that are at the Fring they’d all be looking for anything to promote the show, there’s still a certain sense of trepidation in doing something that’s not 100% proven to put bums on seats. So part of the management is to talk to people and show them that the show is worthwhile, and there’ll be benefits for the artists both for visibility at the Fringe, and in a global sense as well.

And that means doing some horse trading with groups of acts to get the interviews I think the show needs - and I’m really enjoying the chase just now.

And in other news, looks like I’ll be able to make some big announcements next week regarding the podcast, so watch the blog!
