A musically theme today with two smaller acts from around the Fringe. Wayne Slater has been on the Variety circuit for many a year with his comedy mime act The Dentist’s Chair, while the comedy songs to the tune of another are covered by La-Di-Da.
Wayne Slater - The Dentist’s Chair
Describing it as “imagine if Tommy Cooper was your dentist,” it’s surprising that Wayne took up a silent act, because once you start him talking it takes a fair bit of time to get another word in. His act, with 250 pieces of music, is a strong visual comedy, and a family show. Well, it would have to be as he’s got his son doing the flyering for him!
La-Di-Da - Sing Classic Canapes
Only in town till Saturday 13th, you’ll need to be quick to catch a very, very, classy show just next to Waverly Station. Taking the intonation of classical music, coupled with the rhyming structure of songs with a comedic bent, La-Di-Da put the new, modern spin of bad hair days, trans-sexuals, supermarket shelf packers and the curse of Classic FM.
