[Review] Jimeoin
Jimeoin is an Anglo-Irish export who is very popular in Australia with his stand up comedy, and has even made a movie (according to his website). I only managed to catch him during fringe Sunday last year for around 10 minutes, but it was enough to impress me at the time.
So this year, I was very much looking forward to seeing him live at the The Spiegel Garden. I was not disappointed. Like any good comedian, Jimeoin hooks you in from the start and keeps you laughing through the whole show with his accurate observation’s from bee’s to bin day, via the morals of fairy tales and a little bit of musical comedy thrown in at the end.
Always quick to know when his own material isn’t working, he does has a good interaction with the audience and is quick with the hecklers, and isn’t too offensive so you can take your mum or your granddad.
Also, then venue in the The Spiegel Garden was quite comfortable, but the noise from other shows sometimes was a bit loud. And there is a bar at the back if you do feel that cough coming on.
Who: Jimeoin
Where: The Spiegel Garden
When: 11th-29th August (no 14th, 22nd) 21:50.
