Here comes the second daily show, with two fantastic interviews - that’s not me saying that, I have a few people who lsiten to the cast before it goes out as a sort of sanity check. Two ends of the spectrum today, from the street performer who takes whoever comes along, to the thespian with a pop culture bent that lurks in the Assembly Rooms.
Rick Miller - MacHomer
MacHomer is an amazing show. Firstly it’s one actor doing Macbeth. All the important scenes, all teh charcters, all the interactions. That alone makes it an amazing performance. Miller is also a very (very) good impressionist, so to add some spice to the mix, this is Macbeth performed by the cast of The Simpsons.
Todd Various - Street Performer
Standing on the street corner, making enough of a spectacle to get people to stop and watch a half hour show, and then holding out a hat to see if people enjoyed the show enough to pay the performer seems very much like living on the edge. But you can see there are a large number of street performers in Edinburgh. What sort of a life is it, how do you get started, and does it take nerves of steel? I catch up with Todd Various after one of his shows to find out.

On MacHomer, am I missing the point if I say that his voice impressions of the Simpsons Characters where pretty Shizen Houzen? I mean, he seemed ot have the manerisms, but the voices wheren’t that good.
